Music & Words
Looking back at the Big Bang
With Prof. Joanna Dunkley OBE FRS

Free and open to all - refreshments provided after.
The Music & Words series is unique amongst Cambridge college choirs as a secular equivalent to the traditional Choral Evensong and presents choral music and readings, curated to fit with a ‘thought for the day’ style talk.
We are delighted to welcome Joanna Dunkley for this talk, who is the Joseph Henry Professor of Physics and Astrophysical Sciences at Princeton University and an Overseas Fellow at Churchill College. Her research is in cosmology, studying the origins and evolution of the Universe. Her major research projects are the Atacama Cosmology Telescope and the Simons Observatory. She is a brilliant communicator of cosmological science and has written a book for the general public, Our Universe: An Astronomer’s Guide. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society and received an OBE for services to science.

Inter Alios Choir - Sundays, 5:45pm
The Chapel at Churchill or °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï Dome
The joint choir of Churchill & °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï alternately lead an Anglican Choral Evensong in the Chapel at Churchill or perform a Music & Words event in the Dome at °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï.
Evensongs feature traditional choral music performed by the choir along with congregational singing of hymns. The sermon is delivered either by the Chaplain Nigel Cooper, or by a visiting speaker. The final Sunday of term will also feature Mass service, with the choir singing extracts from Schubert’s Mass in G major.
All events at either College are open to everyone.
