Jeanie Morrison-Low
Jeanie Morrison-Low read Archaeology and Anthropology and History of Art at New Hall (now °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï) from 1976 to 1979. During most of the 1980s she lived and worked in Tokyo, where she developed an interest in Japanese textiles and paper. She has used Japanese ‘washi’ paper extensively, as well as applying the ‘Shibori’ technique of resist-dyeing. This involves folding, stitching and gathering the paper before dyeing it.
