In 2024, the °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï JCR and The Women’s Art Collection, invited entries for the first Student Women’s Art Prize. The prize was open to all women and non-binary students across the University, with all mediums and ability levels welcome.
The theme Growth was chosen to honour the iconic °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï Gardens and the role that they, alongside the art collection, play in enhancing student experience at °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï. Students took the theme in many different directions and the standard of work submitted was incredibly high. Works by twenty-two student artists were shortlisted and chosen to be exhibited alongside The Women’s Art Collection. The final prize-winners will be announced during the run of this exhibition on 4th March 2025.
The competition and accompanying exhibition was supported by the °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï Student Art Prize Fund.
