In Woman on a Beach (1974) we see a woman lying horizontally, propped-up on her elbow on a beach and facing away from the viewer. She's wearing a long white dress and a small yellow scarf billows out to her side, giving us a sense of the familiar coastal wind. The figure follows our line of vision as she has her back to us, and we join her in looking towards the horizon.
